Our Mission in Action
Social Services
Our Social Services are the backbone of ARCC’s mission, offering vital assistance to newly arrived Rohingya and Burmese refugees in Milwaukee. We provide comprehensive support in areas such as housing, healthcare access, food security, and social integration. Our dedicated team works closely with individuals and families to help them navigate the complex systems of their new environment. We ensure that they receive the necessary resources and guidance to build a stable and secure life in the U.S.
Educational Services
Education is a powerful tool for a better tomorrow, and our Educational Services are aimed at allowing refugees and immigrants to achieve it. We also provide remedial education for children having problems in school literacy education for adults, as well as basic education and vocational training. We also have a dedicated enrollment team that registers each child in school and guarantees every child an education as well as other needs they might require.
Employment Services
Finding a job is very important as it leads to self-reliance and viability. Employment Assistance helps refugees find jobs and employment training, preparing them for the job market and supporting their sustainable employment. I liaise with local employees so they can have a placement in their place of work and train people to enable them to acquire desirable skills within their occupations. The intended goal of our community development program is to uplift the lives of our community members economically and allow them to enhance the economic development of this nation.
U.S. Citizenship Class
Becoming a citizen of America involves a great process, and our offered U. S. Citizenship Classes will help refugees and immigrants complete it. We help with the naturalization process by providing a number of English as a Second Language classes, civics courses, and interview sessions. Our given classes aimed at explaining the rights and duties of the future citizen, as well as building confidence and passing through the process of becoming a citizen.
ESL Class
A basic understanding of English is crucial for the ability to embrace American culture, and since most of our clients are immigrants, our ESL class will help them. In terms of levels, the main options available for our clients are the following: elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate, advanced, and business courses. A friendly atmosphere around the classroom also positively affects the students’ morale, fluency in the language used, and integration into the new society.
